2024 ICTA Convention--In the Loop

Join us for the 2024 ICTA Convention--In the Loop, beginning with a reception Thursday evening (September 19) at the Marriott Schaumburg, our convention hotel. Main sessions are on Friday and Saturday, September 20 and 21, at the Wojcik Conference Center on the Harper College campus.

Here are a few highlights:

  • Media Literacy in the Classroom featuring Dr. Michael Spikes from Northwestern University
  • Small Teaching: Small Adaptations that Make a Big Difference
  • ICTA Research Spotlight: Exploring Speech Anxiety; Creating Authentic Belonging in the Speech Class featuring faculty from Waubonsee Community College
  • Harnessing the Power of AI
  • Special guest talks for all of membership by Zachary McDowell from University of Illinois Chicago and Rachel Iannantuoni from Harold Washington College
  • And much more for IHSA members, graduate students, and those interested in research presentations!

CONVENTION REGISTRATION:

The early registration deadline is September 5, 2024. (Beginning 9/6/24, the registration price increases by $25.) There are two ways to register and pay:

  1. You can register and pay online.
  2. You can register online and pay later by check or cash. When you do this, you will receive an invoice that you can attach to your payment or give to your school, if your school will pay for you. 

HOTEL RESERVATIONS:

The convention hotel is the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg.  

The DEADLINE for hotel registration at a special convention rate is September 5, 2024.
